45. Sleep outside (in a tent or under the stars)
I need to remind myself to check the list for tasks I might have completed without realizing it. I actually did this one in June when I went to visit some friends.
8. Send a “just because” letter to my grandmother
It wasn’t exactly random; I enclosed the letter in a birthday card I sent her last month. But handwritten letters from me are so uncommon it probably seemed like a “just because.”
63. Visit 1 vegan/vegetarian bakery and restaurant
I visited the bakery back in February, and I went to a vegetarian restaurant last month with a few friends.
76. Attend a local blogger meet-up or a blogging conference
BlogHer ‘07, of course.
29. Read at least 4 books on my personal bookshelf [3/4 completed].
I finished two more last month — France: A Love Story and Bee Season.
27. Watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy [2/3 completed]
I finished the second one. It’s taking me a while to get through them (they’re three hours long, so the first two have been broken into segments when I can find the time to watch them).

yay for progress.
One of these days, I’d like to sit down and make my own list. I’ve been making progress in some areas of my life, and I think it’d be neat to chart that.
Always good to be able to check things off the list, especially when they are as fun as these!
I try to send my grandmother a letter every now and again just because as her big daily outing is walking to the Post Office (weather permitting as in the dead of winter in upstate NY, not worth the trip) to retrieve her mail.
Mom was soooooooo excited to get your letter Zan!!! She was shocked and at her age
that could be a bad thing!!! Keep up the gr8 work…..XOXOXOXOXO’s
