101 THINGS, MONTH 9

73. Attend a concert
I saw Lamb of God play in Richmond over Labor Day weekend (despite the name, it’s not a religious band).

56. Attend a comedy show
I went to a comedy club with some friends two times this month.

95. Cook at least 1 dish I’ve never made before, at least once a week, for 4 consecutive weeks
In August I made Jimmo’s Chicken & Okra. I liked it so much that I made it again last night. Last month I made Leah’s apricot-glazed salmon, spicy chicken, and chicken potpie (recipe courtesy of Mom). Everything turned out quite deliciously.

94. Eat 2 things I’ve never tried before
I had chicken pho (yummy; would eat it again) and tried Greek yogurt (I’ve heard about this, but never tried it until this past weekend — thicker and not as sweet as regular yogurt).

86. Learn the correct way to hold and shoot a gun
That was really fun. I want to go again.

13. Move to a better neighborhood
I moved my stuff out of the apartment this weekend and into my friend K.T.’s place.

14. Write a letter to apartment complex at the end of my lease, letting them know what I think about their property
This is underway and will be submitted soon via email. There are a few issues still being worked out, so I’m waiting until everything goes through before I give them my final words.

So I actually got more stuff accomplished this month than I thought I would! This makes me feel better about having a few months where I didn’t accomplish as much as I should have.

  5. Your lists are truly inspiring to me. I love lists, but totally feel like a failure when they lie there with their un-ticked-off items. Damn them.
