I completed three things from my 101 Things list in January (I’d set a goal for myself of four per month, or 48 by the end of the year, so I’ll have to do more in upcoming months).
81. Go to the movies alone
I saw Juno on January 6th (I’m not the only one who had the same idea; a few days later Leah wrote about seeing this movie by herself, too). Great movie.
99. Eat only raw foods for an entire day
I did this on January 20th. I made it through okay, but it’s not something I’d want to do on a long-term basis. I’d miss my cereal, and my hot soup, and…well, you get the idea.
35. Compose a “If something dire ever happens to me” letter and give it to a family member
I’ve written the letter, and will give it to my mother this weekend when I go to Richmond for a visit. But even better, I’ve signed up for an online program that will help me write my will (yes, even single ladies need one!)
3. Donate blood at least 3 times [2/3 completed]
I gave blood on January 23rd, after I got off work. The first time was last June; when I tried to go last August my iron level was too low.

What a great idea, good job checking things off your list. Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit.
I almost went to the movies alone yesterday. I just was bored, but then I remembered I could go home and be on my computer so I chose that instead, lol.
it’s funny, back when I was single I always thought it was weird to see people in the movies alone. Now, I would cry tears of joy if I were given the chance to go to the movies alone. or maybe just to do anything alone!! Can you tell it’s been a great day at the workout mommy house?
Juno was a great movie, loved it!!
I actually loved going to the movies alone when I was single. It’s weird, but I decided one day that it was important to learn to have fun being around myself!
Zandria ,I also wanted to let you know that you have been TAGGED to tell 7 things about yourself. Come on over to my blog to get all the details!
Have a great day,
Margaret
hahaha, funny about the first one. in the U.S. I used to always go to movies by myself. I kind of enjoy the solitariness every once in a while.
I think we should knock off several while I’m there. I know it’s doable
How about those Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens? Or we could get crazy and ALSO do the Explorer’s Hall!
I’ve been to the movies alone several times – when our son was first born, it was my way of escaping the house & not having to socialize w/people who thought I was “too grownup” now that I had a kid.
Raw foods? Hmm… not long term, for sure. Like you, I would miss my cereal to the point of insanity!!
Giving blood… for some reason every time I go, my temperature is too high. I think I am normally 99.1, so that eliminates me.
There’s a lot to be said for raw foods, though I haven’t taken the plunge myself. There’s a raw food restaurant opening in Boston soon so I’ve been checking out the owner’s site…it’s interesting! http://www.alissacohen.com/index.html
