I crossed off three things from my 101 Things list in April.
50. Visit Deniece in Tampa
I’m leaving tonight after work! The only city I’ve been to in Florida is Panama City, so I’m looking forward to seeing a different part of the state. My roommate is driving me to the metro around 5:45 when she gets home, so I estimate I’ll be inside the airport and checked-in by 6:15. My flight takes off at 7:20. I’m hoping since it’s a Tuesday night, there won’t be too many delays. I’ve had to run to catch flights before (on more than one occasion, actually), and it’s never fun.
I’ve known Deniece since I was 11, so like any good childhood friend, she was with me through the very worst of my pre-teen awkward stage (big glasses, braces, pimples, etc.). We went to the same church, our mothers were friends, and both of us were home-schooled — so we had quite a bit in common. Deniece and I can go for multiple months without talking, but as soon as we do, we understand each other. She gets me. It’s a good thing.
15. Do not go online for 3 consecutive days
Deniece doesn’t have internet access at home, so I’m taking this opportunity to go web-free for a few days. I am taking my laptop, but it’s because I have posts to work on and I’d rather type them on a keyboard than deal with a pen and paper. Anything new you see here this week was prepared in advance and set to post at a designated future time (gotta love technology!).
87. Take a class that features something I’ve never done before
I started a belly dancing class this month! I’m now halfway through the 8-week course.

Have fun in Florida on your vacation!
I’ve heard belly dancing is so much fun. Have a lovely time with your friend!
15. Do not go online for 3 consecutive days
I was without power for four days after a storm. Perfect opportunity, right? Wrong. The library across the street still had power, and free Wi-Fi. (And more importantly, AC.)
Watch out for wandering Wi-Fi signals.
Have a wonderful trip!
“Do not go online for 3 consecutive days” – I just did that on our weekend in Cabo. Let me tell you, it’s FREEING.
Have fun!
I love your list. Way to keep plugging away. Think you’ll like Tampa! Panama City’s not my favorite, so between that and visiting an old friend, I’d say definitely a FL upgrade. Enjoy
These lists are such a neat idea. I have to get on making my own. Congrats on the soon to be completion of two of your own!
Have a great trip to FL! Sounds SO fun!
It’s amazing how difficult it can be to NOT go on the Internet, isn’t it?!
Have a great trip!
Give Deniece & the baby a big hug for me!
Have fun on your trip!
You’re really burning it up with your list! I need to get my bum in gear if I’m going to finish–especially with my writing projects!
We should definitely get together some time before BlogHer–that way I’ll know at least one person out there…
Have an awesome trip Zan!!!!
Have a great trip to FL! Can’t wait to hear about it when you get back!
you should go to more cities! Palm Beach is beautiful, downtown Miami… the keys!
have a fun, safe trip!
No Zan on the internet for 3 days? Does this mean I can now leave rude and/or vulgar comments here and they will stay up for three days before she deletes them???
Just teasing.
Aloha, Zan!
