Yesterday I crossed off #48 from my 101 Things list: Ride on the back of a motorcycle.
My friend Ian met us in front of City Hall in Alexandria. He and I rode around for about half an hour, and it was so fun. I loved it.
Inevitably, I posed. (If you look at Ian’s face, you can tell he’s smiling. (I’m sure he was thinking, “What in the world have I gotten myself into?)
Then I tightened the strap underneath my chin…
…prepared to climb on board…
…and we were off!
Thanks, Ian!

YOU ROCK! I love bikes. I’m so glad you had fun!
W
pretty damn awesome. I’m jealous. The only bikes I’ve been on have all had pedals.
It’s definitely a great experience, isn’t it?
Congratulations! It looks easy enough to do, but somehow, whenever I’ve had the opportunity as an adult, I’ve always chickened out.
That’s awesome–did you go really fast? The last time I was on a motorcycle, the guy driving went over 100mph and scared the bejeesus out of me. Haven’t been on one since…
How exciting! I’ve ridden on a motorcycle once and loved it!
I need to go make me a list! haha
so cool
OMG. You look so darn cute!
YAY FOR YOU!
Way to go! I’m glad to see two sensible people wearing helmets. They’re not mandatory here in Wyoming, and I see far too many bikers riding bareheaded. It just makes me nervous. I do ride my bicycle without a helmet, but I can only go so fast (like, 15 mph).
Oh, and speaking of skydiving, my brother did that several years ago and loved it. He and I also went hang gliding last summer—it was really fun and not at all scary. I’m not sure about the free-falling thing. But enjoy it, if you do it!
Thats so cool! I’m totally jealous right now.
Good for you Zan, that looks like fun! That’s city hall in old town right? Seeing it brings back great memories from when we all sat there at the fountain.
