I am so glad your friend is doing better...how funny he knows you so well ha! And I have also done something similar to my best friend of over 20 years.....she was driving to a party and we had this really big cooler filled with alcohol (of course) and she hit some sort of bump in the road and needless to say everything inside of the cooler fell out and some of it broke right on the seat. It took months to get the smell out luckily her parents never got in the car because we were only 17 at the time. But we are still friends and some days I ask myself how she can be so forgiving! We had a box of wine in there too and somehow it exploded, leaving her car to reek of that smell to this day. We tried to clean it up, but it still has a little hint of the smell.
