I agree Role models are so important. I would have to say along with all my fellow bloggers my trainer would be mine - she inspires me everyday and is there when I need her.

Thanks for the shout out about my cooking abilities!

I don't think I have a specific fitness role model. I just enjoy learning from all the active people in my life. I'm not regular at all in running, biking or any fitness routine in general but I do have a nervous tick if that makes any since. You may have read about how some people naturally burn more calories because they shake there legs...they jump up and go to the printer more than others...they clean the house and just undertake all their daily tasks in a more active manner than others. Anyway...

Come to think of it, on a fitness level you have been quite a role model recently Z. I mean walking/running 5 miles a day....lifting weights at the gym. You killed me with that arm workout last time I visited you :)

I so agree with you on this one! The girl who first introduced me to weight training is a personal hero of mine. And she was a real-life mom of three without a sponsor or DVD. Just a woman being strong and taking the time to teach a newbie the ropes:) Love your list!

I miss working out. I used to work out 4/5 nights a week for many years. As I've gotten older I just can't find the time to do much. I do have my Suzanne Somers thigh masters at work and use them for both upper and lower body workouts. I have my rowing machine at home and my ab machine, but lately, I'm just not feelin' it!!!

I do get in plenty of walking time with my cats, believe it or not. I have a 3000 sq ft house and 14 cats! (anyone need a cat, I have 2 up for adoption??!!) They keep me very busy when I get home...feeding (I feed raw), cleaning up after them and keeping the house clean. So I put on a good amount of miles just doing that every night.

In fact, people always ask me how I've lost weight this year, that was how!!!

Anyway, what I'm leading up to is, I love fruits and veggies too. In fact, this year I started blending. Went to the store, bought all the veggies and fruits and ended up throwing most of them away...several times. I found I just don't have the time or inclination to do much. Now they have come out with several products (albeit not from scratch) that are either veggie or fruits. They are REALLY REALLY good. Couple I am drinking are from Bolthouse Farms. I've tried most of them and they are really tasty.

It's not blending, but it's healthy, maybe you could try them too! Wal-mart is also carrying something called FruitSimple, I haven't tried that one yet.

my teammate is DEFINITELY my fitness role model. although, until this post, i never really realize she was. but the way she treats her body - from the exercise she does, to the food she puts in it, is fantastic.
so yeah, thanks for helping me realize, that it is her that i look up to in this aspect =)

I need to find one. Now that I have to train hard for derby, I want to get my body into pristine condition. Get the rest of this flab off and turn to muscle.

Not sure who I would look up too for that, though.

I'm like you. I have tons of recipes but the cooking thing is where I fall short. Maybe I'll try to cook one big food item for the week and eat off that for the remainder of the week. So at least, I'll be eating one healthy, consistent thing.
