It's quite a snowy mess here, too! And while my bf did dig out my car, I haven't moved it. And now it will just be covered in snow again. Sigh. Glad you're at least safe and warm during all this winter weather!

I'd at least go out and clear off your windshield-- I know more than one person in our area who has gotten a cracked windshield from the weight of the snow, and with more on the way, better on the safe side!

For another few weeks, I still live in Fairfax County. The main roads I drove around 1 pm are in great shape, the parking lots are a nightmare. No more driving for a few days.

Glad to see you removed your plate number from the picture! :)

I've driven around a fair amount in the past 3 days (including a trip to the Dentist this morning). The neighborhood roads are rough. But I can't understand why people in 4-wheel drive SUV's are acting like they're on a sport bike. I can't count how many SUV's I've passed in one of my little two wheel drive cars. I've even passed stuck 4-wheel drive SUV's.

People, don't take it slow! Keep large braking distances. But don't drive slow. Slow and stopping is how you get stuck. You don't get stuck when you have momentum on your side. Take corners and turns with caution. But coming to a complete stop when trying to climb a hill of packed snow at a snow covered entrance ramp is just stupid.
