Ever since I moved to the DC metro area in October 2006, I’ve heard about the annual Smithsonian Kite Festival. And I really wanted to check it out, but due to being out of the area at the time, or because it was raining (that’s been the case for the past few years), I never got to go. This year, not only did I get to experience the kite festival, I got to do it with four friends on an absolutely gorgeous day (the fourth friend is behind the camera…thanks, Kevin!).

- @loveisblonde I saw Wicked in NYC back in 2009. Great show! You'll love it. >> 7 hours ago
- @justinmm2 I don't access it at work, only at home if I feel like it. Definitely been feeling like there's mostly nonsense, though. >> 2012/02/01
- @justinmm2 I've only glanced at FB for a few seconds over the past few days. Maybe I was unconsciously preparing! What's your motivation? >> 2012/02/01

A kite festival would be so much fun! Looks like the perfect day for it, too.
