Buffalo Visit

Paul and I will be Buffalo tomorrow night through early Monday evening. There is job-related stuff on the agenda and we’re scheduled to visit SIX apartments on Monday.

I tried to break up the apartment visits and do some of them on Saturday, but the offices are either closed or the employees are out of town for Easter. I’m confident we’ll make it work, though — the buildings are all downtown so it won’t require a lot of driving back and forth.

This probably goes without saying, but I haven’t been to Buffalo since last September and I’m pretty darn excited about this trip (especially since it’s related to our upcoming move).

I’ve also been on vacation from work this week, which has been awesome. (Two of the three executives I support took off with their kids for spring break, so I decided this was a good time for me to be out of the office as well.) I’ve done some annoying errands that I hate doing on weekends (like a large grocery trip and stocking up on household items from Target), but I’ve also met up with a friend for lunch, had my first professional massage, went clothes shopping, and made a new meal for dinner every night this week.

I’ve been doing some work for my employer as well — keeping up on certain things so I won’t be buried when I return to the office next Tuesday — but it’s mainly just been a hour here and there. A gal could get used to this kind of schedule.

I haven’t made a to-do list for this weekend other than the stuff I know we have to do, but I’d like to fit in some fun things as well. Unfortunately, since we’re flying back to DC early Monday evening we won’t be able to attend the main Dyngus Day celebration. I’m pretty bummed about that! I had already assumed I wouldn’t be able to attend, but unexpectedly being in town the day of the event is a big tease.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that April will be a very busy month for us!
