Love: the mini snowman that someone left on Suzanne’s car yesterday. She said, “Thanks to the anonymous mini snowman builder, I will smile all day.” I would have, too.

Hate: when people say things that are misguided, misinformed, and just plain wrong. In this case, someone said in a Momversation (I’m paraphrasing) that she was a girl before she had a child, and now that she’s a mother, she’s a woman. Thanks to Heather from No Pasa Nada for writing a post that brought this to the attention of fellow child-free women.

Love: friends such as Zipcode, who drove out of her way to pick me up and take me to work on a snowy Monday morning. (While I normally don’t mind the mile-long walk to the Metro, yesterday was not one of those days.)

Hate: blobs of toothpaste in the bathroom sink. (Clean up your mess! Gross!)

Love: receiving confirmation that I will be a bridesmaid again this fall (for the third time) when my little sister gets married. I speculated whether this would be the case, and as it turns out (which I learned when I went to Richmond this past weekend for a visit), Little Sister had just taken it for granted — assumed, if you will — that my older sister and I would be included in her group of bridesmaids. Which is fine, because I was already assuming that. But it was still nice to know for sure.
